Higher Ground School of Ministry (HGSM) is committed to the truth that God loves people, gave Himself for them, and has given His Church power to bring individuals and nations into wholeness. The mission of HGSM is to equip and deploy revivalists who passionately pursue worldwide transformation in their God-given spheres of influence.
Our Curriculum
Creating Revival
Higher Ground School of Ministry began as a remote school that drew from the teachings found at BSSM (Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry). We are incredibly grateful for the resource that is Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry, and the culture that we have created from that foundation is one that we truly treasure. However, in this recent year, the leadership of Higher Ground School of Ministry have felt the Spirit leading us to create supplemental classes that are accessible to multiple Christian denominations and that unify all believers in Jesus by providing biblically-based teachings that are equipping all believers with competency in what is available to us through our Faith.
Our heart is to provide an environment and a resource for all Christians in our community to come and feed their hunger for the More of God. Whether that is learning to hear His voice, pursuing healing and finding help for woundedness, gaining access to parenting classes and marriage support, or learning more about your Bible and diving into the history of the Church, it is the desire of Higher Ground School of Ministry to prepare all Christians to be bold and confident ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
What to Expect
Atmosphere
HGSM is a Holy Spirit-driven ministry school where students learn how to live in the Kingdom of God and extend its borders through a powerful lifestyle. HGSM is multi-generational. Some students who come have had years of educational, ministry or professional experience. One of HGSM’s core values is honor, and one way this happens is through joining the generations together and teaching every age group to value and serve one another.
People become students at HGSM because they want to deepen their relationship with Jesus, see the book of Acts in their daily lives, and pursue holiness. They want to learn how to sustain and maintain the God-impact on their life and family and to cultivate a momentum that releases it wherever they go.
Our classes are 4-6 weeks long, depending on subject, and you can expect a casual atmosphere with a high value for worship, the presence of God, holiness, and honor.
In previous years Higher Ground hosted a 9 month long course that had a standard tuition cost. After much prayer, we have decided it would best serve our community to shorten our class commitment, and lighten the financial burden on students. We believe what we offer has great value, and it comes from great sacrifice by all of our leaders. Higher Ground School of Ministry is run entirely by volunteers. Jehovah Jireh has been faithful to provide for us everything that we have needed as a school, and we are believing He will continue to do so. Classes are now offered for free, there will be a love offering available for anyone who is prompted by the Holy Spirit to sow into this ministry.
